Get to know them

When it comes to ingredients, we love doing our homework! We locate, research, and experiment with a variety of ingredients to find what works synergistically. We have found that when you take unnecessary additives out of a formulation it makes room for good and active compounds. In our experiments, we have also found that many ingredients complement one another which is a bonus for your skin. But like we said earlier, we love doing our homework which means we never stop searching for and experimenting with great ingredients.

Why do they matter?

In our quest for better skincare, we found that many products simply don’t have a lot of superstar ingredients, but they do have a lot of fillers. Each ingredient should have a purpose. Is it an active compound that smooths skin? Is it a binder to make sure the product doesn’t separate? Does it work well with the other ingredients?

We have found that in removing unnecessary ingredients we make more room for what we call our POWERHOUSE ingredients which is not only better for your skin but will streamline your facecare regimen.

Our Star Ingredients

    ACTIVATED CHARCOAL

    Captures and eliminates toxins and impurities. A natural but gentle cleansing agent as well as a micro abrasive exfoliant. Also, a natural anti-fungal, antibacterial, and anti-microbial ingredient.

    ALMOND OIL

    A cold pressed oil that we use in our lip products known for its ability to soften and condition skin.

    ALOE VERA

    A raw ingredient we use as a moisturizing agent. It contains vitamin B complex, folic acid, vitamin C and carotene.

    APPLE STEM CELLS

    Renews epidermal cells at a faster pace. Protects against UV light-induced cellular death. Combats chronological and genetic aging and deep wrinkles.

    APRICOT KERNEL OIL (COLD PRESSED)

    Rich in vitamin A, this oil absorbs easily, and is very moisturizing.

    AVOCADO OIL

    An excellent moisturizing agent that contains a high level of Vitamin E to nourish skin. The oleic acid also promotes collagen production, which helps grow new skin and accelerate the healing process of damaged skin.

    BAMBOO EXTRACT

    A powerful antioxidant, which helps keep your skin safe from damaging free radicals while also diminishing fine lines. Because bamboo is also an antimicrobial and an anti-inflammatory it is one of our key powerhouse ingredients for skin rejuvenation.

    BEESWAX

    A natural thickener which also acts as an excellent humectant for your skin, drawing in and locking moisture.

    BUTTERMILK

    Moisturizing, non-irritating, and gentle on the skin.

    CAFFEINE EXTRACT

    Reduces inflammation and puffiness while tightening skin.

    With loads of minerals, B vitamins, and antioxidants, this ingredient is excellent for skin and hair.

    CANNABIS SATIVA SEED OIL

    Because this is easily absorbed without feeling greasy, we love using this oil in our lip products.

    CAPSAICIN

    Derived from hot peppers, this compound is used in our Aschi Restore Red formula to increase the sensation of heat and help relieve minor aches and pains.

    COCONUT OIL (COLD PRESSED)

    Moisturizing while not pore clogging and can help reduce inflammation.

    DEAD SEA / MEDITERRANEAN SEA SALTS

    While being high in magnesium, calcium, potassium, and zinc, these salts also contain natural antifungal, antimicrobial, and antibacterial properties that help cleanse and detoxify pores.

    Not only are they a natural way to scent our products, but many essential oils can also have a profound impact on mood.

    HONEY

    A natural antiseptic and antibacterial yet also skin-nourishing and moisturizing.

    HYALURONIC ACID

    This is a substance naturally occurring in our bodies that decreases over time with age. Recreated in a lab and applied topically, it retains moisture by allowing skin cells to hold an astonishing amount of moisture (about 1,000 times its weight) and combats skin sagging.

    IRISH MOSS EXTRACT

    A type of algae, this ingredient is highly moisturizing and can calm irritated skin.

    IVY EXTRACT

    An emollient to moisturize skin and hair while also being a natural astringent.

    JOJOBA BEADS

    Another of our go-to natural exfoliants. We love using these little gems in our Pedicure Pumice Bar to gently scrub away rough patches.

    KOKUM BUTTER

    One of the hardest vegetable butters, we prefer this particular ingredient over Shea butter in our Aschi Restore Balms for its smooth application and its natural anti-inflammatory properties.

    MARSHMALLOW ROOT EXTRACT

    Moisturizes and conditions skin and hair.

    OLIVE OIL (COLD PRESSED)

    Moisturizes skin and hair while helping protect against free radicals.

    ORGANIC ARGAN OIL (COLD PRESSED)

    Rich in antioxidants and omega 6 fatty acids, this oil has twice as much vitamin E as Olive Oil. Softens skin and hair, minimizes the appearance of fine lines, and improves the texture of acne-prone skin.

    ORGANIC BABASSU OIL

    Antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory, this solid oil reduces redness and helps with cell regeneration while not clogging pores.

    ORGANIC JOJOBA OIL

    This ingredient is a liquid wax that closely resembles the sebum of the skin, is rich in vitamin E, and gives skin a healthy radiance.

    ORGANIC ROSE PETALS

    Roses are full of skin boosting antioxidants as well as a variety of vitamins and minerals. The oils from the petals and the hips are fantastic for combating dry skin as well as the visible signs of aging. It also offers astringent properties, making it an excellent combatant of acne, redness, and inflammation.

    ORGANIC UNREFINED ROSEHIP OIL

    Rich in fatty acids, these active compounds help with cell regeneration, reduce the appearance of scars, calm irritated skin. Considered a dry oil, this ingredient is well absorbed.

    ORGANIC VEGETABLE GLYCERIN

    A humectant - it attracts moisture from the air to hydrate skin.

    PUMICE STONE

    We use this naturally occurring ground volcanic rock in our Pedicure Pumice Bar to smooth rough patches.

    RICE BRAN OIL

    Extracted from the bran (outer coat) of brown rice grains, this ingredient is rich in vitamins, minerals, and proteins.

    ROSE ABSOLUTE

    For years, rose has been used to create a sense of harmony. Our rose absolute is sourced from Bulgaria and has hundreds of years of history for its use in aromatherapy as well as an emollient. It takes over 8,000 pounds of petals to create one pound of rose absolute.

    SHEA BUTTER

    Rich in vitamins and fatty acids, this ingredient penetrates deeply leaving skin feeling silky.

    SILK PEPTIDE

    Derived from the cocoon of the silkworm, this one ingredient contains 18 different amino acids making it a wonderful source of nourishment for skin and hair.

    SOY PROTEIN

    Strengthens and improves skin texture. This ingredient contains antioxidant compounds which can reduce the appearance of skin aging. Topical application may also diminish hyperpigmentation and redness.

    SUNFLOWER OIL

    Sunflower oil is loaded vitamins and antioxidants it hydrates and reduces frizz when applied to hair it also promotes manageability in hair.

    VEGETABLE COLLAGEN

    In combination with other ingredients, our plant sourced collagen helps skin retain moisture and improve skin elasticity.

    VITAMIN C (SOURCED FROM CITRUS)

    An antioxidant that protects against free radicals - which in turn ages our skin - and is also a natural skin brightener, lightening dark spots.

    VITAMIN E

    Helps protect skin from environmental factors. The d-alpha-tocopherol in Vitamin E is known to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and also happens to be a great natural preservative.
